TRACK RUN SESSIONS
The beauty of running at the track is that everyone can run at a pace that is right for them.
Every session will have 3 options targeted at different fitness levels, so whether you are new to running and have never been on a track before or are a seasoned runner with a specific goal in mind, we have you covered.
Interval running consists of shorter and longer efforts based on distance or time which helps build your running endurance and ability to keep running when it feels like you want to give up. It is a structured workout that alternates between higher-intensity running and periods of easier running or recovery. It’s a great way to challenge your fitness, build speed and improve running efficiency without having to run at a hard pace continuously.
Sessions can be tailored to all running abilities, with intervals varying in distance, time, pace and recovery.
A note on "Track Etiquette"
To keep our sessions smooth, safe, and enjoyable for everyone on the track
Look before you step on: Always check both ways before entering the track (yes, like crossing a road)
If you’re doing intervals or moving quickly stick to lane 1–2.
Easy running? Just stay out of lane 1
Jogging, walking, or recovering? Head to the outer lanes so others can pass on the inside lanes.
Try to avoid sudden stops whilst on the track : When you finish your set, move off the track before slowing down.
Call it out : A quick “track!” or “coming through!” helps avoid collisions.
Respect everyone’s pace
Remember everyone is working hard - fast, slow, somewhere in between
Keep it tidy : Bags, jumpers, drink bottles, keep them off the track please!
Run smart, look out for each other, respect other runners and make it a great session

TRAIL/STRENGTH RUN SESSIONS
Running the trails we can still cater a session so everyone run at a pace that is right for them.
Every session will have pace options targeted at different fitness levels, so whether you are new to running and have never been on the trails before or are a seasoned runner with a specific goal in mind, we have you covered.
Take your running off the track and onto the trails, using ramps, hills and varied terrain to build strength, fitness and running resilience.
Utilising our beautiful foreshore, in the summer months when the light in on our side we make the most of the yacht club rock wall to warm up in all weather conditions. Mobility drills are often incorporated , we then hit the ramps and trails to build some strength and endurance. Mixing it up each week to discover a new looped course including a ramp or hill set to conquer. Each session still caters to all paces and abilities.
Trail running challenges your legs, core, balance and coordination, while hill efforts develop power and improve running efficiency.
Training as a group adds motivation, accountability and a little friendly competition, helping you push beyond what you might achieve on your own.
Sessions can be tailored to all running abilities, with loops varying in terrain, distance, pace and recovery.
